If there was ever a time that we needed you to get involved, THIS IS IT! The future of your home and your community is at stake. We are asking EVERYONE in the surrounding communities to attend the City of Vaughan Council meeting on Wednesday April 4th at 1:00 pm at Vaughan City Hall. This is your last chance to address the Mayor and City Councillors before the council votes to take a position to approve or reject the Jaffari development application at the OMB. The City refused our request to move the meeting to an evening session so you will have to take time off of work to attend the council meeting. It is critical that you attend so start making the arrangements to book time off at work RIGHT NOW! This is CRITICAL! Don’t complain afterwards if you didn’t show up. If you absolutely cannot attend, you can still email deputations to the Vaughan City Clerk at: clerks@vaughan.ca
We are expecting a massive turnout at this council meeting. The story has been running on the Toronto Star, CBC News, 680 News and we expect all major media outlets to attend the council meeting as the story spreads and is broadcast on a national level. Expect thousands of people packing Vaughan City Hall and plan accordingly. Here are some tips for April 4th:
Here is the location for the meeting. Please refer to the attached diagram for directions. We will keep blasting this post from now until next Wednesday as a reminder.
