I have had many leadership positions over the years that have helped prepare me to lead this association. I currently hold a position of a General Manager in an innovative automation company. My responsibilities include directly managing a group of 10 internal and 14 sales and marketing individuals, as well as, indirectly mentoring 25 other people.
I hold a Project Management Professional designation (PMP) and was involved with running many projects in numerous continents, involving many teams of diverse individuals. I have also been responsible for building teams, and capitalizing on people’s strengths to help further the team. I was also responsible for international sales and marketing strategies, which strengthened my skills in negotiating.

I currently manage Hewlett Packard Canada’s Enterprise Security Services business across the Canadian Federal and Provincial and Municipal Public Sector customer base.In this role, I am responsible for helping customers protect their critical IT infrastructures against risk by delivering integrated, innovative, and trusted security solutions that are designed to manage business risk and to maximize investment in information security.I have been involved in the Canadian Security industry for over 12 years.Prior to joining HP, I managed IBM Canada‚Äôs Security Practice and was a frequent speaker and media spokesperson in Canada, the USA and the Caribbean.I have also served in a number of leadership roles at Bell Canada, Symantec, and Xerox Canada.

I’ve served on the board of a pension plan including chair of the Audit & Finance Committee, Investment Committee, Vice-chair & Board Chair. I have also served as Treasurer for a condo corporation.

Simon Katznelson

I am currently the Vice President of Operations for a Satellite Communications Company in the Toronto area.
I have successfully negotiated $10+ million dollar contracts with first tier aircraft manufacturers mitigating risk and financial exposure; drafted contracts and successfully negotiated long term teaming agreements, third party alliances and licensing agreements.
I have enhanced Cash Flow at Operational Level; planned and implemented lean manufacturing resulting in 10% waste reduction.
Oversaw development of staff training programs; set up and chaired executive management board, planned and deployed corporate policy.
I was the driving force behind the execution of a plan focused on company performance improvement; developed and implemented value-added metrics with primary emphasis on company performance improvement and cost savings.
